These are carved panels not transparencies. A lithophane is a three dimensional carving that when lit from behind, produces an image - completely different from two dimensional engravings that are flat. The images change characteristics depending on the light source behind them. Window lithophanes change throughout the day depending upon the amount of sunlight. The varying lightsource is what makes lithophanes more interesting to the viewer than two dimensional pictures. With the lamps,when the ambient light is extinguished and the lithophane is back-lit, a beautiful, three-dimensional picture appears in incredible depth and detail.

Select the photo you want to use and write down the file name and location of the file. When you place the item in the shopping cart you will be asked to upload the photo. It is a good idea to have the filename and location written dowm.
